Responce on To The Light House

Resected Sir,
Here below is my response on To The Light House by Virginia Woolf.
1) As we all know that the “Stream of Consciousness” technique itself is a kind of complex narrative technique. And before Modernist writers no one used to use it. But as modern people and modern life is described in this kind of literature, the use of this technique is suggestive. To show the feelings, sorrows and joys (small or big), cobweb of thoughts and all labyrinth of human mind this narrative technique is very appropriate. Woolf wanted to show the same things-the inner turmoil of a common people in day to day life, so she used Stream of Consciousness technique effectively. In which all minds of all characters can be vividly seen by reader where then author has no need to describe anything. 2) In the novel To the light house Mrs., Ramsay was main character into the novel she was portrayed as the caring mother, wife, host, etc. Woolf was related with the Bloomsbury group and her arguing that the sympathies of women are too broad to be contained within national boundaries. 3)This question is depend to every students perspective that how can they see and understand lighthouse. Lighthouse is a symbol of strength. So here we find two characters which are related with this symbol like Lily and writer herself. And I think in this lighthouse we find two major characters means characters which are very much connected with this novel and we also say that writer portrait herself in the novel. In the novel we find that Lily is also painter end of the novel she complete successfully her painting. 4) 'Künstlerroman' it means “novel which told about progress and life of artists”this is French word Kunstler means artist and Roman means novel. we can find this novel is also about artist that Lily Briscoe. She is a painter but she has to suffer lot in society that “Woman cannot write and paint” Society does not allowed to woman that she cannot write and pint. So she has to suffer a lot in society. So we can say that ‘To the Lighthouse’ Is Kunstlerroman.
